Foundation Approach Strategy

We are determined to provide support primarily through education, that is, conducting awareness workshops and seminars, in addition to providing sustainable projects and training to our target groups to empower the young girl or woman with versatile skills that enable them to take care of their infants or protect themselves from abuse, or being taken advantage of because of lack of income and/or their vulnerable circumstances.

The past couple of years have driven us towards focusing on establishing a scholarship fund due to the pressing needs of our target group over and above provision of life skills through running workshops with a practical and application orientation. Currently, we are running a scholarship fundraising and support program that has a 4 year tenure, with 23 teenage mothers, their children and vulnerable young girls being assisted with school fees in Harare and Chitungwiza, the intention is for them to receive this aid until they complete their secondary education.

Despite the aforesaid, we are keen on continuing to seek support so that we increase this number to 120 learners by the end of 2025. Coupled with this, we also run weekly life skills workshops targeted mainly at teenage mums and pregnant teens, to equip them with skills that empower them to make a living and take care of themselves and their children. So far we have imparted skills in the culinary arts and business, with several of the girls we have assisted having started their own small businesses.

We are currently able to run these workshops with not more than 20 girls, but with more support and partnerships, we hope to increase this number to 50 participants.
