Mr Hillary Tanyanyiwa is the Executive Director of JF Kapnek Zimbabwe, a local
Non-Governmental Organisation working in Zimbabwe. JF Kapnek Zimbabwe works
in the field of disability, education and HIV care and treatment. He provides
leadership, organisational oversight and technical guidance for the design and
implementation of the programmes
Hillary holds a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy (University of Zimbabwe),
Masters in Business Administration (Midlands State University) and a Masters in
Public Health (University of the Western Cape).
He worked in the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health as an Occupational Therapist at a
provincial hospital for 3 years, and as a Provincial Therapist managing rehabilitation
and community-based rehabilitation services in one of Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces for
5 years. He has worked for civil society for 13 years managing programmes in child
protection for children with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC),
disability inclusion, inclusive education, early childhood development, and HIV & TB
and care and treatment.
He has experience managing large grants from multiple
donors including (but not limited to) USAID (through OPHID & CRS), UNICEF, EU,
Comic Relief, Elma Foundation, Elma Philanthropies, Open Society Foundations,
Save the Children, FCDO (through UNICEF & Ecorys) & SIDA (through Plan
International).
